New Views of Saqqara"
Speaker: Dr. Elaine Sullivan, Post-doctoral Fellow, UCLA Dept. of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures

Dr. Sullivan has been using digital satellite map imagery to investigate how the cemetery has developed begining with Early Dynastic through Old Kingdom, New Kingdom, Greco-Roman and Coptic periods. Important monuments are highlighted, and projections are made as to how the city of Memphis and the Nile River have shifted over time.
